Description:

26 (Twenty-Six) is located just next door to Ocean. Both Twenty Six and Ocean are owned and operated by George Reis. The restaurant, 26 has an industrial chic décor and the buzz of bistro dining.

Music ranging from funky to Caribbean sets the energetic, but easygoing mood, in this eatery-awash in sea green and aquamarine. A bar topped with twinkling lights spans the depth of the Twenty Six restaurant, and behind the bar the wall of psychedelic neon greens fade to sky blue, plum, and scarlet. Banquettes create their own waves, lining the opposite wall and encircling the center of the space.

Garage doors with a view, open Twenty Six to 20th Street South, inviting passersby inside. And in the background, a tiled waterfall makes a splash-further enhancing the effect of eating on the bottom of the ocean.

So guests arrive at their leisure for lunch, mid-afternoon, dinner, or a late night bite at this happening hot spot. Acquaintances pull up a couple of chairs and join each other for a drink or a meal on the stone topped tables. And new friends are made as they share suggestions of their favorites on the multiple menus. At Twenty Six you feel like you are out-not just out for a meal. Twenty Six has also been the proud recipient of the Wine Spectator Award for 2009 & 2010.
